Treetop Explorer LLC Brings Recreational Tree Climbing to Southeastern Wisconsin When you climb into a tree, time and perspective change. Your state of mind is altered. You are energized yet at peace. You reach new heights, both literally and figuratively. As time passes, there are measurable decreases in anxiety, anger, and depression levels. Stress decreases. Positive emotions increase. This is the essence and power of tree-time. As a child, your sense of adventure probably took you into the woods and up trees in search of adventure, discovery, physical challenge, and often times, simply to escape to a quiet place. Many of us loved climbing trees, but somewhere along the way we stopped. You may have continued to go to the forest to hike, camp alongside a creek, or string a hammock between two trees. As rewarding as these experiences are, climbing back into the branches you will rediscover the energy and positive outlook you had as a kid. You are likely to discover a deeper understanding of who you have become. Treetop Explorer, LLC provides the opportunity for inexperienced people enjoy the professional tree climbing experience. Their office and climber training classroom is in Waukesha, but they utilize parks around Waukesha County, Dane County, and the Fox Cities for their public and private climbing events. They offer a number of climbing opportunities throughout the year, many of which are offered through municipal recreation departments as after-school & summer programs. Climbs are suitable for children and adults. Private climbs can be scheduled for groups looking for an exciting way to spend time with colleagues, family, or friends. You can make tree climbing a part of a birthday celebration, scout troop outing, team & staff retreat, friends weekend, or adventure education program. All of the necessary climbing & safety gear is provided and participants are given easy-to-follow instructions. Practically everyone can pick it up and be climbing rather quickly. These climbing experiences are appropriate for ages 7 to adult, with no experience necessary. Measures are taken to minimize the impact on the trees so they continue flourish and provide the benefits essential to a healthy society. Each climber is given personal support as they work through their own challenges and towards their personal goals. Participants are met at their level of ability and comfort as the facilitators foster an accepting and encouraging environment during the climb. Once fitted into a harness and clipped on rope, climbers are able to ascend at their own pace and climb as high as they feel comfortable with. Climbers especially love swinging, hanging upside down, enjoying the view, sitting & standing on branches, the sensation of hanging high above the ground, and sitting still to enjoy the calming affects of sitting above the hustle & bustle of life on the ground. Sitting in the branches of a 200-year-old tree can be life-changing, create lasting memories, and help you connect with your true self.
