Tree Inspection and Insurance
Treetop Explorer, LLC is insured for recreational tree climbing events & will provide proof of insurance upon request.
All climbing trees must pass our tree inspection on the day of the event in order for the event to proceed. An I.S.A. Board Certified Master Arborist performs this inspection.
If you wish to utilize your own tree(s), we will schedule a visit to inspect your tree(s) and verify if they are appropriate for recreational climbing; or provide you with details of what needs to be address before it can be climbed. We do not provide pruning services.
All fees and associated costs are determined and presented prior to scheduling your event. Pricing is heavily influenced by the staffing needs and length of your climbing event.
Not only is tree climbing an outdoor activity, it is easy for us to provide spacing between participants. Typical spacing between ropes is about 3-ft or greater. If your group desires 6ft of spacing between participants, we can make it happen! This may reduce the total capacity of the climb event unless we extend the allotted time.
Our recommendation for length of climb event is based on the time necessary for most groups to have enough time for all participants to get a 2nd ascent (or more). This is influenced by group size and participant ages.
We can adjust climb time, staffing, and logistics to accommodate most groups. As we work through the planning stage, we will provide the price according to the parameters you decide upon.
Your price covers all equipment, permits, and guidance for your group once you arrive at the climbing tree. (Note: Waukesha County Parks charge a $6/vehicle entry fee, and is not included in our price.)
Each event differs as to which trees are climbed. Some people wish to climb trees on their own property. We also have access to our climbing trees in certain parks and various locations. You will be able to choose from a list of location options.
Treetop Explorer, LLC will provide the staffing to accommodate the needs of your event.
Only qualified facilitators work with climbers on rope. Additional staff may be utilized for other organizational tasks.
Treetop Explorer, LLC uses specialized equipment approved for use in technical tree climbing. We will provide all of the equipment and gear necessary to enjoy recreational tree climbing. We provide the necessary climbing gear for each participant. All equipment is inspected prior to each event, and double checked with each climber.
An assortment of gloves and safety glasses will be available for participant use. Participants can bring their own.
There is a minimum age restriction of 7 yrs due to cognitive development and ability. There are alternative experiences we can provide for those under the minimum age.
All participants need to submit a signed waiver prior to climbing.
Individuals under the influence of alcohol or drugs are not permitted to climb.
