    NOW SCHEDULING 2025 DATES!
    - ​We are currently working on our March-August 2025 climb schedule.
    - Our flexibility on dates available for your private climb event becomes more restricted as we finalize dates for our public offerings in the weeks ahead.
    - Once we have finalized our public climb offerings (Open, Girl Scout Open, Open-Advanced, Rec climbs and our Learn-to-Climb classes), we will post remaining date availability below. (Should be posted by mid-December)

Here are some informative details covering questions you may have. All of your questions will be addressed during the planning stage for your special event!

Tree Inspection and Insurance

Treetop Explorer, LLC is insured for recreational tree climbing events & will provide proof of insurance upon request. 

​All climbing trees must pass our tree inspection on the day of the event in order for the event to proceed. An I.S.A. Board Certified Master Arborist performs this inspection.​

If you wish to utilize your own tree(s), we will schedule a visit to inspect your tree(s) and verify if they are appropriate for recreational climbing; or provide you with details of what needs to be address before it can be climbed. We do not provide pruning services.

Fees

Pricing is determined and presented prior to scheduling your event. Pricing is heavily influenced by your group size and age range. 

Our recommendation for length of climb event is based on the time necessary for most groups to have enough time for all participants to get a 2nd ascent (or more). This is influenced by group size and participant ages.

​We can adjust climb time, staffing, and logistics to accommodate most groups. As we work through the planning stage, we will provide the price according to the parameters you decide upon.

Your price covers all equipment, permits, and guidance for your group once you arrive at the climbing tree. (Note: Waukesha County Parks charge a $6/vehicle entry fee, and is not included in our price.)

A deposit of $100.00 (or 10% of total price, whichever is greater) is due at time of booking to lock in your event. Final balance is due the day of the climb. 

Staffing

Treetop Explorer, LLC will provide the staff to accommodate the needs of your event. Only our qualified facilitators work with climbers on rope. ​We may utilize additional staff for other organizational tasks.

Locations

Our climbing trees are located in City and County parks. We can provide location options based on your location, logistics related to your group/event, or according to park availability.

In SE Wisconsin area, we have multiple location options in Waukesha County. ​Climbs in the Dane County area are held in Verona. Climbs in the Fox Cities area are held in Kaukauna.

Availability

Primary climbing season is mid-April through mid-October; however, we can climb trees year-round, weather & ground conditions permitting. We run climbs every day of the week.

​We make a number of dates available for private events, listed by geographical area in the form above. Dates are filled on a first-to-commit basis. ​The form is updated weekly, so contact us directly to confirm a listed date is still available. We can put a 14 or 30-day hold on a date for you to give you time to confirm.

Equipment

Treetop Explorer, LLC uses specialized equipment approved for use in technical tree climbing. We provide all of the equipment, gear, and climbing PPE necessary to enjoy recreational tree climbing. 

​An assortment of gloves and safety glasses will be available for participant use. Participants can bring their own gloves or glasses.

All participants must be able to fit properly into a helmet and harness provided by Treetop Explorer, LLC in order to climb.

Restrictions

The technical tree climbing experience is appropriate for ages 7 to adult.

All participants need to submit a signed waiver prior to climbing.​

​Individuals suspected to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs are not permitted to climb.

Individuals who are unable to follow or perform safety procedures will not be permitted to climb.
