It takes a special tree to make it into our climbing programs. We spend a lot of time in these trees & get to know them quite well!
Each tree has its own personality and character, providing an assortment of experiences for climbers. In addition, each park or area that the tree is growing in also adds to the climber's experience.

This magnificent tree grew on an estate in the City of Waukesha, likely for more than 200 years! With the passing of the property owners, the tree and surrounding land was donated to the City.
Its massive branches swoop to the ground, inviting people to walk up and give it a hug! The embracing limbs and cooling shade provide the perfect setting to sit beneath for a picnic, take a nap, or read a book.
Each year I introduce people during our Club Climbs, an occasional Rec Climb, some Private Climbs, and most of my Learn-to-Climb classes. It is the tree I use most often for my exclusive aerial yoga classes. I have spent countless hours sitting in the branches and at its base.
I visit this tree regularly throughout the year as it has become a dear friend. I continue to find inspiration and motivation from my time with this tree.
*Available for Private Climbs - The branches allow for numerous climbing routes. Climbing routes can range from 15 to 45', some taking climbers past branches perfect for sitting, standing and swinging from. The tree stands in a remote section of the park, with no amenities available. Off-street parking is available. Gas stations are located within 1/2 mile.
For each of our climbing trees, Treetop Explorer, LLC secures necessary permission, pulls required permits, submits proper documentation and payment, meets all requirements and carries proper liability insurance in order to climb the trees. All of these details are tended to, including our pre-climb inspection, prior to the start of any climb event we host; including Rec Climbs, Private Climbs, Learn-to-Climb Classes, etc. Climbing the trees outside of these events is not approved.
