Beginning climb offerings are appropriate for ages 7 to adult, no experience required. (facilitated) Intermediate climb offering is appropriate for ages 9 to adult, for those who have climbed with us previously or trained in technical tree climbing. Beginning Climbing Opportunities
No experience necessary. All equipment and instruction provided. Most experiences are appropriate for Ages 7 to adult.

Intermediate Level Climbing Opportunities
Participants must have climbed with us previously. All equipment and instruction provided. Ages 9 to adult.

All equipment and instruction provided. Ages 16+.
These classes teach skills needed when climbing trees on your own. Skills like determining hazards with the tree, how to install and set up climbing systems, and techniques to get into and maneuver around the tree. These skills can be used to climb for fun or for work as an arborist, canopy researcher, or tree climbing guide. The facilitation course covers the skills in how to facilitate and organize your own facilitated and guided climb programs.

Start Your Own Program The responsibility is great. The reward...priceless! Learn how to facilitate the tree climbing experience for individuals under your guidance. Class material covers tree preparation, working with participants, safety protocols, aerial rescue, and how to start your own company or climbing program. Classes held in Waukesha County. Private trainings for your staff can be scheduled at your location. |
Treetop Explorer facilitated climb procedures and recreational climbing and facilitation courses comply with the guidelines put forth by the Global Organization of Tree Climbers. Our lead facilitators are GOTC Recognized Facilitators. Our head instructor is a GOTC Recognized Master Instructor.
Treetop Explorer climber training classes comply with industry standards and guidelines put forth in the ANSI Z133 and are consistent with the best practice recommendations put forth by the International Society of Arboriculture and the Tree Care Industry Association. Your instructor is an I.S.A. Board Certified Master Arborist (BCMA) and T.C.I.A. Qualified Trainer & Certified Treecare Safety Professional (CTSP).
