Information Pertaining to Covid-19

Review the information below to understand what to expect and how to come prepared for your climb

Even though recreational tree climbing is an outdoor experience, participation can still expose climbers to health risks such as Covid-19. Given the nature of the experience we offer and many unknowns regarding associated risks, we respect and appreciate that each person's tolerance for risk varies.

Below you will find information on how we organize our check-in process and run our climbs. We are utilizing the information in the WEDC Guidelines for Outdoor Recreation activities and recommendations from the medial community to help guide us in reducing the risks associated with Covid-19.

We continue to monitor the recommendations presented by public health professionals and equipment manufacturers regarding distancing & sanitization. We remain dedicated to reducing safety and health risks for climbers, spectators and staff during our recreational tree climbing activities.

We understand the need for physical activity and experiences in Nature, especially in times of stress. Our climbing experiences continue to provide the energizing affects and benefits that are inherent with adventure activities!

We hope you can make time to get a daily dose of the outdoors and look forward to having you join us in the treetops!

- Curt

Some of the steps we take to reduce risk:

Details regarding all climb events are emailed to the address you provide at registration.
- The pre-climb email will be sent in the days prior to your scheduled climb event, and will contain the details regarding your climb, and recommendations & expectations for participants.
- The waiver which each climber will need to submit for every climb will be included with the email so you can print/sign/bring with you for a touch-less check-in.

Take a tour of our climbing area and review how we run our climbing events. (5:07)
GROUP SIZE:
- Climb capacities will be adjusted according to health guidelines and internal operation capability.
          - All Rec & Treetop climb capacities have been reduced. (i.e. 8 or fewer participants)
          - Private Climbs - capacity is variable & event structure will coordinate with respect to guidelines.
          - Learn-to-Climb classes & workshops are limited to 3 students. (Private & Company trainings are flexible)

CHECK IN:
- Review the sign that is posted at the participant entrance.
- Climbers are checked-in and suited-up one at a time.

- Only climbers are allowed inside the flagged climbing area.
- Registrants who are currently experiencing, have experienced or have been in contact with a person who has exhibited symptoms of Covid-19 in the past 14 days shall refrain from attending. Registration will be refunded or transferred to another climb date.
HOW TO SELF-CHECK FOR COVID-19 (CDC)

PHYSYICAL DISTANCING:
- Flagged climbing area will be extended to keep
spectators adequately distanced from the climber group.
- Participants will have assigned spots to stand at while awaiting a turn on rope, being spaced approximately 7 feet apart.

- Climbing ropes will be spaced approximately 6 feet apart or greater.

FACE MASKS:

- ALL Climbers/Participants & Staff will wear an approved nose/mouth covering (when physical distances cannot be maintained.).
- Recommended physical distances cannot be maintained between the facilitator and the climber during suit-up or at the beginning and end of each climb/ascent due to required safety checks and procedures.
- We are not able to accommodate exceptions to this safety equipment requirement at this time.
- Nose/mouth coverings will be available; however, we recommend you bring your own to ensure proper sizing.
- Nose/mouth coverings cannot have holes, openings or vents.

SANITIZATION:
- Hand sanitizer will be available for use within the climbing area for the duration of the event.
- Climbing gloves will be available for use (or climbers can bring their own).

- Climbing gloves and cloth nose/mouth coverings are sanitized and cleaned after each user.
- Climber PPE (helmets, saddles, carabiner, gloves, glasses) is not shared during public climb events and are sanitized after each user.
- Climbing ropes are placed out-of-use at the conclusion of a climb event - typical climb events last for 1.5-2hrs.
- Ropes remain out-of-use for 48 hours to allow for sanitization
